Car thefts in Lemvig, police declare lack of evidence

According to TV2 MIDTVEST, several car thefts occurred in different parts of Lemvig on Wednesday. The website reported that four cars were broken into: two in Nylund, one on Nørre Led, and one in Ydunsvænget.

The website quoted Police Commissioner Frederik Bertelsen of the local police in Holstebro as saying that the thieves stole sunglasses, a computer, schoolbooks, a pencil case and hunting binoculars, adding that the cars were unlocked at the time of the thefts.

Frederik Bertelsen also noted that a red 2010 Toyota Aygo and a gray 2016 Ford Fiesta were stolen. He explained that both vehicles were started using their original keys; the Fiesta key was stolen from an unlocked rear door, while the method used to obtain the Aygo key remains unknown. He confirmed that the police currently have no leads in the case.
