The violence occurred on October 14, 2025, at approximately 8:55 p.m. at Rådhuspladsen metro station in Copenhagen, where at least nine people assaulted a 30-year-old man. The man was repeatedly struck with a bottle, as well as punched, kicked, and stomped on, sustaining injuries that required medical attention. Prior to the incident, he had been involved in a confrontation with two men who have since been charged in the case. The other six suspects had no prior connection to the 30-year-old and were simply looking for the location of the confrontation when they saw it at Rådhuspladsen. They followed him, and then the two assailants rushed into the Rådhuspladsen metro station. When the confrontation escalated into an assault, the six men joined in, according to police.
