A 19-year-old woman has been charged with endangering others when she allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail and set fire to a residential building in Holsted, South Jutland.
A judge in Esbjerg court decided on Monday to imprison the young woman for four weeks. According to the police, the young woman claims she is not guilty and has appealed the decision.
A Molotov cocktail is a bottle filled with a mixture of gasoline and oil with a lit wick in the neck of the bottle, and the charge has been classified under the most serious article in the criminal code relating to arson.
The fire was started on Thursday night, and police have confirmed that “one or more people” were at the residence where the fire was set.
