A 32-year-old woman was assaulted in the shared laundry room on Friday afternoon and sustained injuries to several parts of her body.

The woman was in the shared laundry room below her apartment in Bakkevej in Nørresundby washing clothes. Her neighbor, Inger Marie Pedersen, was the first to see her bleeding and recounted the incident to the source, saying: “My neighbor was in the basement to use the washing machine so she could do the laundry. She was assaulted by a man who asked her if she had cigarettes. When my neighbor said no, he cut her arm, thigh, and forehead.”.

Inger Marie Pedersen contacted the police and the injured woman was taken away by ambulance. Police later said the wounds appeared to be superficial, and North Jutland police began a search with the help of dogs to find the perpetrator.
