A Somali man was found murdered in Copenhagen late last night in the Vesterbro district of Copenhagen, and police on Tuesday arrested two men and charged them with murder, according to TV2, citing Copenhagen police.

Police received a report about the case at 2:54 a.m. on Tuesday and found the murdered man - a 48-year-old Somali citizen - in an area near Cirkeline Plads at the intersection of Enghavevej and Ny Carlsbergvej in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. As a result, police cordoned off the area near Tove Ditlevsens skole, which delayed the entry of students to their school.

Following an investigation, police arrested two men on Tuesday afternoon. The arrests were made after a review of CCTV footage from the area. At the time of writing, it was unclear whether either man would be brought before a court. "We took a number of investigative steps which led us to the two individuals arrested," police said on their website, according to Deputy Inspector Brian Billing of the Copenhagen Police. Billing added that police suspect the two men of murdering the 48-year-old man, possibly near where his body was found. The victim's next of kin have been notified.

According to Copenhagen police, officers will be present on Wednesday morning at Enghave Plads and the Tove Ditlevsen school in Vesterbro, where residents and parents of students can speak to the police about the incident.
