Swedish police arrest two people after the gang rape of a minor girl in Malmö

According to TV2, citing Ritzau, Swedish media reported that a girl under the age of 15 was gang-raped in the southern Swedish city of Malmø, and that police in Malmø are investigating a gang rape case committed against a minor on Saturday.

Two suspected perpetrators were arrested on Monday, with prosecutor Caroline Carlquist confirming to Swedish television station TV4, according to sources: “They were arrested on suspicion of aggravated rape of a child.”.

The suspects are aged between 15 and 17. Earlier, police in Malmö stated that the case was being investigated as child rape and that they were searching for three suspected perpetrators. The investigation also involves a third individual, according to TV4, citing sources.

The victim is a girl who is no more than 15 years old, and her exact age has not been mentioned.

TV4 previously reported that one of the perpetrators filmed the rape. Following the rape, police cordoned off an area outside a residential property in the Nydala district of Malmö and launched an investigation. The area is located in the southeastern part of Malmö.
