This afternoon, the police and rescue team in Copenhagen carried out a large evacuation of the Hamad Bin Khalifa Cultural Center, also known as the Grand Mosque Storemoske, at Vingelodden 1A in Copenhagen.
The evacuation was due to the thick smoke that rose from the restaurant located on the ground floor below the mosque.
Copenhagen police told the source, “We were there and noticed thick smoke coming from the basement. No flames were found, so there was no fire. We suspect the smoke is coming from a cooker (gas or oven) hood in the restaurant, but we are currently investigating this.”.
A number of people were evacuated from the mosque, and police said no one was hurt.
