Two fires in Midtjysk on Saturday drew the attention of Central and West Jutland police. Both the Efterskole boarding school and the idrætshallen (a sports hall with playgrounds and other sports facilities) in Ejstrupholm were set ablaze. The fires, located on the same street, have raised suspicions of arson. The boarding school's garage was completely destroyed in the blaze.
As of yesterday, the police had not proven that the fires were deliberate, but two teenagers (aged 15 and 16) were arrested on suspicion of starting the fires at the two locations.
Investigating other fires as well
The two boys will be questioned on Sunday afternoon in court in Viborg regarding the charges brought against them by the Central and Western Jutland police, according to local media.
Recently, the municipality of Ikast-Brande has experienced several fires, and although the police do not initially believe that the two young men are connected to those fires, it is still too early to conclude anything, according to the police, who do not yet know the causes of those fires.
