Danish police temporarily closed the Øresund motorway leading to Sweden due to a search for an unknown object. Copenhagen police chief of security Thomas Hermind told BT that at 14:51, police received a report from a motorist who had seen a group of “young boys” throwing something off a bridge on the motorway.

The object has not yet been found, and Thomas Hermind says police had to close the highway to investigate the scene and locate the reported item. The head of security added that “there was no damage to people or property.”.

Police are unable to give a time horizon for how long it will take to complete the investigation and reopen the road. In addition, Hermind stated that little is known about the perpetrators and there have been no arrests so far.
