The Danish Food Administration announced on its website a short while ago that it has recalled the product “Roo'bar Maca Cranberry” by the manufacturer Coalas Naturprodukter. (Product image below)
The product is sold in Søstrene Grene stores, and its ingredients include the maca plant, as the name suggests.
A risk assessment conducted by the DTU University Institute of Food concluded that health risks from consuming the product could not be ruled out, according to a statement from the Danish Food Agency on its website, which explained that it could cause reproductive problems in men and women.
The agency recommends that anyone who purchased the product should return it to the store where it was purchased or dispose of it.
