Chips product withdrawn from numerous stores due to fears of its effects on nerves, genes, and fertility

According to local media reports, Coop recently announced in a press release the recall of its organic root vegetable chips, branded “Irmas hverdag”, after finding very high levels of acrylamide in the product, which can be harmful to the nervous system, genes, and fertility. (See product image below).

The chips were sold in Irma, Dagli'brugsen, Kvickly, Superbrugsen stores and on the Coop website. .

The company advises those who have purchased the product to throw it directly in the trash or return it to the store.
