A severe cold wave and heavy snow will begin on Thursday and cover most of Denmark.

According to TV2 Vejr, Denmark is facing a period of very cold weather starting on Thursday, with weather forecasters predicting a severe cold wave accompanied by a widespread snowstorm.
A snowstorm is expected to begin Thursday afternoon.
TV2 Vejr meteorologist Jonas Damsbo confirmed that the latest forecasts indicate snow will begin falling from midday on Thursday, before quickly spreading across most of the country. He added that the snow will intensify during the evening and night, with widespread snowfall expected across most regions overnight between Thursday and Friday.
Areas expected to receive the largest amounts of snow
Jonas Damsbo also explained that North and East Jutland, as well as Sjælland, Lolland, Falster and Møn, may receive the largest amounts of snow, with expectations of an accumulation of between 15 and 20 centimeters of new snow, although the possibility of change in the locations and amount of expected snow remains.
Bitter cold and sub-zero temperatures
TV2 Vejr noted that cold easterly winds will accompany the snowstorm, making it feel even colder than the actual temperatures. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing, with a perceived temperature of -10 to -15 degrees Celsius in many Danish cities.
Continued harsh winter weather
Jonas Damsbo stated that this wave is a result of a stable high-pressure system centered over northeastern Europe, pushing very cold air towards Denmark, which suggests that the harsh winter weather will continue during the following days, with frost and snow remaining part of the weather landscape in the country.
