Police are advising residents of these areas not to drive, or if necessary, to take blankets, food, drinks, warm clothing, and a shovel in the car.

The East Jutland police issued a statement this afternoon to residents of its municipalities (see last paragraph of the statement) urging them to avoid unnecessary travel due to the weather and snow conditions. The statement reads as follows:
Due to the risk of heavy snowfall, East Jutland Police advise against unnecessary driving in the East Jutland Police District from 11:00 PM Tuesday until 10:00 AM Wednesday. There may be a lot of snow on the roads, and visibility may be significantly reduced, which could create traffic challenges.
When the police advise against unnecessary driving, it's a good idea for drivers to ask themselves if driving is truly essential. You might need to talk to your employer about working from home, and consider whether you should postpone a shopping trip or a visit to family.
If travel is necessary, prepare in advance:
Take blankets, food, drinks, warm clothes and a shovel in the car, so you are better equipped if you get stuck in a snowdrift on the road.
Pay special attention to trucks
East Jutland police are urging truck drivers in particular to be aware of road conditions and to reconsider whether driving is necessary, for example. During the recent snowstorm, a number of trucks encountered significant problems on the roads.
You can follow the traffic situation on trafikinfo.dk. East Jutland Police will continuously update X (formerly Twitter) and politi.dk during the evening and night when there is news about the situation.
The East Jutland police cover the following municipalities:
Randers, Aarhus, Odder, Favrskov, Syddjurs, Norddjurs,Samsø
