The Director of the Danish Directorate of Public Health recommends reusing the Coronapas app.
TV2 has just published breaking news about the statement by the Director of Public Health, Søren Brostrøm, regarding his recommendation to parliamentarians and politicians to reuse the Coronapas app in Denmark, because he sees this as an opportunity to put an end to the increasing spread of the coronavirus in Denmark.
The discussion here is about protecting Denmark’s health system from the increasing number of infections that could threaten the sector’s resilience if the number of cases continues to rise, by reusing the Coronapas app in specific places such as cafes, restaurants, concerts and nightlife, according to Broström.
The infection rate reached 2,598 on Wednesday, the highest since December 30 of last year, with current infection numbers exceeding the State Serum Institute's expectations, raising concerns among experts.
Broström’s statement is consistent with statements by experts who in recent days have called for a return to the full use of masks and Coronapas again, after a few months of stopping the use of masks in Denmark, and after also stopping the use of the Coronapas application.
Daily statistics show rising infection rates among school children aged 6 to 11, and in general, municipalities in the capital region are the most affected by severe infections, especially the western region.
The municipality of Albertslund recorded the highest rate in the country at 725.9, followed by the municipalities of Ishøj, Brøndby and Glostrup.
