The decision to classify Corona as a socially serious disease was made after deliberation in the Epidemics Committee.

The rating is valid for one month.

The government had initially planned for it to be in effect for four months initially, but this was not adopted by the Epidemics Committee.

Therefore, the committee will instead have to reassess the situation monthly and whether to continue classifying COVID-19 as a socially serious disease.

The classification decision is considered essential for the government to impose restrictions, and a decision is currently being made regarding whether Coronapas will be introduced in the next four weeks. According to TV2, it is likely to be implemented starting Friday.
