Highest in 2021: More than 4,000 coronavirus cases in 24 hours

According to the Corona statistics and figures issued by the State Serum Institute for Thursday, 4,013 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Denmark during the past twenty-four hours. 

This figure is the highest this year and the third highest recorded in a single day since the start of the coronavirus pandemic in Denmark. The number of coronavirus patients hospitalized decreased by seven to 369 in the past 24 hours.

Despite the decrease, the number of COVID-19 patients hospitalized has more than tripled compared to last month. Six deaths from the virus were also recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in Denmark to 2,792 since March 2020.
