In a follow-up to the developments in the case of the killing of all the mink, the Ministry of Justice announced in a press release yesterday that the police were unable to recover the deleted text messages from the phones of Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and other employees in the Prime Minister's Office.

The leader of the Venstre Liberal Party, Jakob Ellemann, strongly criticized the Prime Minister for the timing of the statement, which came one day after the local elections, even though the Prime Minister's office had been informed of the police response on Friday before the elections, according to Ellemann, who said, criticizing the Prime Minister, "Does she think we are fools?"“

Today – the fifteenth day of the Mink Committee – Barbara Bertelsen, a key figure in the Prime Minister's office, is being questioned. Local press previously reported that it was Barbara Bertelsen who advised Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen to activate the automatic message deletion feature after 30 days.
