The Minister of Health confirms: Masks and changes to the expiration dates of Coronapas will begin on Monday... and disagreements persist regarding other restrictions.
Following a meeting between Danish Health Minister Magnus Heunicke and parliamentary parties, Heunicke confirmed to local media on Thursday evening that the government and the parties had reached an agreement on the new coronavirus restrictions. However, several points in the government's proposal, which was submitted to the parties based on recommendations from the Epidemics Committee, remained unresolved. Discussions on these points of contention are expected to resume in parliament on Monday.
According to the Minister of Health, these are some of the new restrictions that have been confirmed to be in effect starting Monday:
:Wearing masks in both
- Public transport and taxis for passengers
- And in shops, grocery stores, shopping centers, and department stores for visitors while shopping
- When visiting patients in hospitals
A shorter validity period has been adopted for negative Coronapas tests, namely:
- 48 hours for rapid testing
- 72 hours for PCR test
The parties did not reach an agreement on whether employees in retail stores, supermarkets, large shopping centers and public transport should wear face masks/masks.
In addition, there are disagreements about whether mask requirements will be imposed for visitors and staff in the care sector.
