Coming soon: Pegasus Airlines to begin flights to Türkiye from Aarhus Airport

According to a press release from Aarhus Airport, budget airline Pegasus will begin operating direct flights between Aarhus and Antalya starting in May 2025. This will be the first time the airline has landed in East Jutland.

With this new route, travelers from East Jutland will have the opportunity to fly directly to Antalya, a gateway to the resorts of the Turkish Riviera and a stopover for those traveling to destinations in Central Asia and the Middle East. This expansion represents a significant step for Pegasus Airlines, which serves a region with a population of over 1.3 million, including more than 11,000 people of Turkish origin living in the Aarhus region.
Expanding the flight network at Aarhus Airport
Lotta Sandsgaard, CEO of Aarhus Airport, said that the introduction of Pegasus Airlines to Aarhus Airport followed a Routes Development Conference held in Aarhus last year, which strengthened ties with airlines. He explained that this new route had been a long-standing demand from tour operators, holidaymakers, and members of the Turkish community in the region.
Sandsgaard added that many travelers from Jutland currently choose to travel to Turkey via other airports such as Copenhagen or Hamburg, noting that providing a direct flight from Aarhus to Antalya would make it easier for travelers to reach their destination in a shorter travel time, especially with the airport's location, which is only a 30-minute drive from the center of Aarhus.
