Update: Police announced via website X that the cordon imposed earlier today has been lifted and nothing suspicious was found.

According to DR, Aarhus station is surrounded on all sides and bomb disposal teams are on the scene. East Jutland police are present in large numbers and are carrying out an evacuation, as confirmed by the police on X, according to DR: “The railway station hall has been surrounded on all sides – including the passageway leading to the Brunn Gallery – and we are evacuating everyone in the railway station hall.”

According to a DR correspondent, heavily armed police are currently present, along with several bomb disposal officers and dogs, inside the train station. However, it is still possible to enter the Brun Gallery from the side entrance. The entire station is closed.

There are no reports that it has any connection whatsoever to the counter-terrorism operation last night and this morning in which a number of people were arrested in several locations across the country on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack. Police have not yet released any further details.

According to DR, all buses operating in Bruunsgade, Park Allé and Ny Banegårdsgade are affected by this measure, according to Midttrafik. Buses are trying to find alternative routes, but there will be delays or cancellations.

Train services are operating with some changes as all passengers are being referred to MP Bruunsgade to reach stations, and trains continue to operate in and out of Aarhus.
