The special date of 22-2-22 prompted many to choose it as their wedding day.

In North Jutland, for example, several municipalities reported a record number of weddings today.

In the municipality of Aalborg alone, 48 couples are saying “yes” to each other today. The number could have been higher, but the citizens’ services (Borgservice) had to reject a number of marriage applications. There are three court clerks on duty in Aalborg, and to complete as many as possible, the time was extended. An additional hall was also used for many, as twenty minutes are allocated for each wedding in the municipality.

It is worth noting that it is somewhat unusual for weddings to be on Tuesdays, as they are usually held on Saturdays. In addition, February is not the most popular month for marriage, but today's date seems tempting enough to change all that. Compared to a normal Tuesday, an average of five marriage contracts are completed in the Old Town Hall in Aalborg.
