Young adults aged 20 today have cleaner criminal records than those of the same age group ten years ago.
The proportion of young people born in 1990 who celebrated their 21st birthday in 2011 with a conviction and a stigma on their criminal record was 13%, while this proportion decreased for young people born ten years later (i.e., in 2000), as the proportion of young people born in 2000 who reached the age of 21 with a conviction on their criminal record was only 7%, according to new figures released by Statistics Denmark on Tuesday.
