Today marks the lowest number of new coronavirus cases, while the percentage of positive tests remains unchanged.
Sunday's number of new coronavirus cases is the lowest since December 13, with 7,799 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, according to the State Serum Institute. Despite the relatively low infection rate, the positivity rate is comparable to the period between Christmas and New Year's.
This number of cases was recorded based on 65,325 PCR tests, which is much lower than in recent months when the number of tests ranged between 100,000 and 250,000 PCR tests. This means that the percentage of positive tests is still at 12.18%, the same as it was in the period between Christmas and New Year.
15 One new death from the virus in the last 24 hours
According to the source, the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized in Denmark increased by 62 people, bringing the total to 709, and 15 people died from the virus during the same period.
