The Danish Tax Authority has been given the green light by the Tax Board to obtain information about transfers from users of the mobile money transfer application MobilePay, despite suspicions by authorities that companies are keeping black money (tax evasion) outside of bank accounts, according to a press release from the Danish Tax Authority.

The agency did not specifically mention the Mobilepay application in the press release, but sources from Mobilepay confirm that this service is covered by the aforementioned authorization.

In more detail, the category concerned is Mobilepay app users who received more than 100,000 kronor during the year.

It is worth noting that this is the third time the Danish Tax Agency has obtained this authorization.
