Health authorities: Reducing the quarantine period for those infected with coronavirus and modifying recommendations for contacts.

The Directorate of Public Health has just announced, via a press release, a change in recommendations regarding quarantine (or self-isolation) for those infected with COVID-19. The following new recommendations are effective starting today, Monday:

  • The quarantine period will be reduced to four days after a positive test result, in cases of asymptomatic or mild infection.
  • Those who have been in contact with a positive case (nære kontakter) are not required to undergo quarantine.
