According to figures released by the State Serum Institute on Thursday, 12 deaths from the coronavirus were recorded in the past 24 hours, along with 4,390 new infections during the same period. These figures are among the highest in several months and are close to the statistics from February, when the number of coronavirus deaths was double that of previous months for several days.
The percentage of positive PCR tests was 2.39%, out of 183,797 samples during the past 24 hours.
In addition to the PCR samples, 16,044 rapid tests were performed during the same period.
