Danes make millions of digital purchases online, and e-commerce is booming remarkably.

E-commerce is booming in Denmark. Whether it's a new mobile phone, a piece of clothing, or just ingredients for dinner, online shopping is increasingly common. Even before the coronavirus hit the world and many stores closed, e-commerce was already thriving in Denmark.
According to figures from the Danish Chamber of Commerce, 127 million online purchases were made in Denmark in 2014, while this number rose to 276 million in 2021. This represents an increase of 117 million.
This is prompting business schools and colleges in Denmark to focus on teaching digital commerce and e-marketing.
Looking at job vacancies in Denmark reveals the increasing number of e-marketing jobs that require specific professional skills. The required skills can be obtained either through business schools and colleges or through online educational courses, whether paid or free, or educational videos available on websites. It is expected that digital commerce will grow in the future, especially with the current generation that has become accustomed to digitization from an early age.
