With inflation and rising prices: Danes are traveling to these expensive winter holiday destinations

Two years after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions that were imposed on travel during the winter period, the demand for travel and trips in Denmark has increased, with travel companies Bravo Tours and Spies reporting the sale of a large number of trips to countries such as Thailand, Mauritius in Africa, the Maldives and Zanzibar.
According to Kiki Wiese, acting communications manager at the travel company TUI, the average price of a trip to the Maldives, for example, is 36,000 kroner. The travel agency Bravo Tours stated that they have returned to the same level as before the coronavirus pandemic in terms of bookings, but the challenge they are facing now is that airlines are not fully prepared yet with not enough aircraft.
In this context, Copenhagen Airport expects 8.5 million passengers in the winter, compared to just over 10 million in the years before Corona, but after a few difficult years, it is estimated that 2023 will be the year when everything returns to normal.
