A candidate who served as mayor of Albertslund for only 2 hours and 17 minutes... then the alliances changed.
According to TV2, which described what happened as a “real drama,” after the announcement of the results of the local elections for municipal and regional councils and the parties beginning agreements on the distribution of seats and tasks, Vivi Nør Jacobsen, a candidate from the SF party, took her seat as the new mayor of Albertslund municipality on Wednesday.
But according to the Conservative Party, the Unity List, the Liberal Party, and the Danish People's Party, the SF party evaded the agreement that had been made. Consequently, the aforementioned parties broke the agreement on Wednesday night and joined an alliance with the Social Democratic Party (the ruling party). As a result, after Jacobsen had served as mayor of Albertslund for only two hours and seventeen minutes, Mayor Steen Christiansen returned to his post in Albertslund.
