The 7-Eleven supermarket chain closed across Denmark on Monday morning because the chain suspected it had been the target of a cyberattack, according to a post on the chain's Facebook page.
This means that employees in many stores cannot use the payment and invoicing system.
The chain of stores has around 175 stores in Denmark, mainly located in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and Odense, many of which are located in train stations. It is not yet clear when the stores will reopen.
