The Danmarks Nationalbank website was hit by a DDoS cyberattack on Saturday, and a group of Turkish hackers claimed responsibility for the attack, in response to Paludan's burning of the Quran in Denmark.
The Danish Ministry of Defense was also subjected to a similar cyberattack on Sunday, which resulted in the ministry's website being down for several periods during the day.
The Danish Ministry of Defence wrote on social media: “The Ministry of Defence websites are currently under a DDoS attack. The pages were briefly unavailable on Sunday afternoon, but are now back online. Sporadic outages will continue to occur.” The identity of the perpetrators was not disclosed.
