The retail chain is adapting its network of stores in Denmark as part of a consolidation strategy in the local market.

Flying Tiger Copenhagen announced today that the chain will consolidate its Danish stores into fewer locations during 2026. Consequently, the chain will close 18 of its 50 stores, but will maintain its presence in key Danish locations – including the country's largest cities.
Strengthening its Danish store network allows the retail chain to focus its resources on locations experiencing increased customer demand, with the modern “Flying Tiger Copenhagen” experience having the greatest impact on the local market. In this regard, the company has invested heavily in the customer experience, both in physical stores and online. This includes, among other things, launching a new customer club via mobile apps, enhancing its e-commerce platform, and opening new stores that reflect the chain’s modern retail concept.

As a result, we must keep pace with the ongoing development of our store network to maintain our position with our customers – both in Denmark and internationally. In the future, our store footprint will expand to fewer locations, but our online store ensures that Flying Tiger Copenhagen remains fully accessible to customers throughout Denmark,” says Martin Sørenhag, Managing Director of Nordex.
Denmark will remain one of the markets where the chain has the highest store coverage relative to the population, and selected stores will be gradually closed during 2026.

International expansion continues
Flying Tiger Copenhagen continues its international expansion, having opened 43 new stores in Europe and 60 more overseas by 2025, in partnership with its franchise partners. Between weeks 43 and 45, Flying Tiger Copenhagen will also expand with the opening of three new markets in the Balkans – North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo – bringing its total number of stores to nearly 1,100 across 44 markets.
