For the second time in a week: Türkiye summons the Danish ambassador for these reasons

For the second time in a week, the Danish ambassador to Türkiye, Danny Annan, has been summoned by the Turkish Foreign Ministry in protest against the burning of the Quran and the burning of the Turkish flag.
The same group, “Patriots Go Live,” carried out these acts both times, broadcasting live footage on Facebook from outside the embassy as they burned the Quran and the Turkish flag.
According to DR, citing Turkish media, a demonstration took place in front of the Turkish embassy on March 24 and again on Friday, March 31. The video shows two men and a woman standing in front of the embassy in Copenhagen holding a banner that reads “Curse Islam.” A man tied a copy of the Quran to a dog's leash and led it around the street corner, then threw it into a barbecue tray to get rid of it and burn it, according to DR.

A press release issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated: “We strongly condemn that the hate crimes committed in Denmark on March 24 against our holy book, the Quran, and our glorious flag, were allowed to be committed again on March 31 during the month of Ramadan.”.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry statement also said: “We reiterate that it is absolutely unacceptable to allow such heinous acts under the guise of freedom of expression. We have also noted that people insist on repeating the mistake.”.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry described the repeated actions as “clear evidence of how Islamophobia, xenophobia, discrimination and racism have recently been growing in Europe.”.
The statement also mentioned that they in the Turkish Foreign Ministry believe that the actions are deliberately taking place during the month of Ramadan.
