More details about the charges against a 27-year-old man in a primary school rape case.
The case began to emerge last Friday when students were not allowed to leave the school, a week after a former school employee was jailed on charges of raping a minor girl. According to TV2, the 27-year-old employee is accused of committing rape inside the school, even though the girl refused and tried to persuade him to stop. According to the charge, this occurred at an unspecified time before the summer of 2022 at Soholm School, Bystrup branch, in Birkerud. The employee is also accused of intimidating witnesses.
According to TV2, and based on the accusations, he threatened the girl and told her that she was not allowed to talk about what happened because he would then harm her family or expose her to rape again.
The accused pleaded not guilty, according to Sjællandske Medier, which covered the constitutional inquiry hearing on the 14th of this month.
Police confirmed to TV2 that a 27-year-old man was jailed for two weeks on suspicion of raping a minor schoolgirl and then threatening her not to tell anyone. The school's parents were informed, and on the evening of the same day, the municipality issued a press release about the case.
According to a letter the school sent to parents, which TV2 reviewed, the school encourages everyone to respect that this is a suspicion being investigated by the police, as it is the public prosecutor and the courts that ultimately decide on the matter of guilt. The municipality also stated that the police have been investigating the case for some time.
