Riots broke out outside the courtroom where current Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was to be questioned on Thursday afternoon.

The riot broke out when the Prime Minister’s BMW started to move away, as many protesters approached the car even though the Prime Minister was not inside it, and the police had to intervene and make the protesters move away.

Protesters spat on the car and sprayed it with water, and a rear light on the car was smashed.

The Prime Minister appeared at Frederiksberg Court at about 9 a.m. today and was greeted by angry protesters shouting, in addition to holding signs, one of which read, for example - translated into Arabic -: “Why are you lying, Mete?” and other phrases.

The questioning of the Prime Minister revolves around the crucial days in the mink affair when the government made the decisive decision to kill all 17 million Danish mink at that time.

Three demonstrations were reported in advance, and the demonstrators were present in several locations around the court. Following the riots, Copenhagen police arrested two demonstrators. It is not yet known what happened before the arrests that took place this afternoon. According to the source, one person was arrested and charged under Section 119, which deals with violence against a public official, while the other person was arrested and later released, but he is still charged under Section 121, which deals with insults, slander, and accusations against a public official.
