Denmark records lowest inflation in more than a year and a half

Denmark recorded its lowest consumer inflation rate in January, according to official Danish statistics.

The German Press Agency reported that the consumer price index rose by 0.8% in January, compared to December, which recorded 1.9%. .

With electricity costs declining, housing and service prices fell by 1.3%.

In contrast, the inflation rate in the food and alcoholic beverages sector rose from 3.6% to 3.8%

On a monthly basis, consumer prices contracted by 0.6% in January, after falling by 0.4% in December 2025. .
