According to local media, the Danish government has allocated 100 million kroner for urgent action ahead of winter in Ukraine, with a third of the sum going towards providing water, heating, and windows in the southern coastal city of Mykolaiv, which has been damaged by the ongoing war.
"It is important to focus on preparing for winter, and then there will be a long, difficult step after that," said Development Minister Flemming Møller-Mortensen during his visit to the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on Friday.
This announcement comes as winter begins in the coming months, which will lead to lower temperatures and snowfall, with many buildings lacking windows, and in the absence of potable water in the city.
