A 33-year-old man was killed in a car accident on the Hillerød highway yesterday, when two cars collided head-on. The 33-year-old man, who was driving, was killed, while the other car contained a father, mother, and two children. The parents were killed, and the two children survived and are currently in the hospital in critical condition. All of them are from the city of Hillerød in the Nordsjælland region, north of the capital, Copenhagen.

According to the police, the young man (33 years old) was racing with another young man (24 years old), which led to the fatal traffic accident.

According to local media this morning, Nordsjælland police arrested a 24-year-old man after three people were killed in a traffic accident yesterday.

The 24-year-old is accused of complicity in manslaughter and failure to assist in the accident that occurred along the Hillerød motorway on Saturday morning (where he saw the accident and fled the scene), as Officer Michael Dalby of Nordsjælland Police told DR: “There are witnesses who saw him at the scene, and they saw him in the car. They were also able to describe him. We investigated the case and discovered his identity.”.

According to DR, witnesses saw the two men, aged 24 and 33, driving at high speed and engaging in what witnesses described as "reckless driving," according to Officer Michael Dalby.

The 24-year-old is scheduled to appear at a hearing in Hillerwood Magistrates' Court on Sunday afternoon.
