Southwestern Europe has been experiencing record-breaking temperatures for about a week, with several countries, including Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, recording temperatures above their usual highs. Spain has also reported more than 350 deaths after temperatures soared above 40 degrees Celsius. According to the Danish Meteorological Service, the heatwave is now heading towards Denmark.

However, the rise is not expected to set a local record, as the current record, set in a previous year, is 36.4 degrees Celsius.

The Danish Meteorological Service predicts that temperatures will reach 30 degrees Celsius locally and that the high temperatures will be relatively short-lived, as they are a narrow band of very hot air passing through Denmark on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The hot air mass is expected to start over Denmark on Monday with some clouds, with a chance of light rain in North and East Jutland, while the weather turns sunny with temperatures rising in the afternoon to between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius, possibly higher in East and South Jutland and in Fyn.

Temperatures are expected to rise to between 23 and 28 degrees Celsius during the afternoon in most parts of the country and may rise slightly above that.

On Wednesday, the temperature will reach its peak.
Wednesday will likely see the highest temperatures as the hot air mass passes through, expected Wednesday afternoon, with temperatures ranging between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius, and potentially exceeding these figures in several areas of Jutland, Fyn, Lolland and West Zealand.

South Jutland is likely to record the highest temperatures locally due to the hot air mass coming from Germany, where temperatures in the northern German region near Denmark are expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius. At the same time, cloudy weather is expected on Wednesday in the southwestern regions, and there may be rain and thunderstorms from Wednesday night until Thursday, which will be with temperatures ranging from 17 to 24 degrees with fairly stormy weather.

According to the source, high temperatures are certain to hit Denmark in the coming days, but it is not entirely certain where the highest temperatures will be recorded.
