According to BT, Copenhagen Airport (Københavns Lufthavn) announced that the water leak incident that occurred on July 1st did not go unaffected to baggage traffic, after it was later revealed that 130 bags did not arrive with their owners, in an amendment to the initial account that confirmed on the day of the incident that neither flights nor passengers were affected.
The narrative was modified after new information came to light.
BT reported that water flooded the departure hall at Copenhagen Airport on July 1st. At the time, the airport stated that the incident did not affect flights or passengers. However, the airport later revised this account, confirming that part of the baggage handling system was temporarily affected by the water leak, resulting in a delay of 130 suitcases before they were subsequently sent to their owners.

BT quoted Copenhagen Airport's communications manager, Lise Agerley Kürstein, as saying in an email that "the water leak incident on July 1 briefly affected one of our baggage handling systems, and therefore we had to send 130 pieces of luggage back to their owners later."“

BT noted that TV 2 had reported on the day of the incident that Copenhagen Airport said “flights or passengers were not affected” by the water leak.
In explaining the discrepancy in information, the Copenhagen Airport press office, as reported by BT, explained that developments in the incident changed during the same day, adding that communications manager Lise Agerle Korsten had made her statements to TV 2 around midday, and at that time the malfunction had not yet been reflected in the baggage system.

BT noted that the Norwegian Air flight to Barcelona on Sunday morning took off without loading 112 checked bags belonging to its passengers, including Thomas Hejlsberg.
The website quoted Thomas Heilsberg as saying: “I previously worked as a pilot on charter flights, and I have never witnessed anything like it, either as a pilot or even as a passenger.”
854 bags were affected within a few days
Thus, the combined toll of the two incidents reached 854 bags that did not arrive with their owners on time for travel, after recording the delay of 130 bags due to water leakage on July 1, and 724 bags as a result of the malfunction that affected the baggage handling system four days later.
