Left-wing and Green parties in the Nordic countries generally made gains in the European elections, while far-right parties declined, according to official results.

Results of the European Parliament elections in Denmark after counting 87.1% of the votes show the SF party achieving first place, surpassing the Social Democratic Party. Both parties (left and center) are guaranteed 3 seats in the European Parliament each. The only party that did not win any seats is Alternativet, but thanks to its electoral alliance and after complex calculations, the votes may go to an additional seat for the SF party or the Social Democratic Party thanks to the electoral alliance that brings together Alternativet, SF and the Social Democrats. .

It is worth noting that the SF party has good positions on immigrants and refugees and at the Danish level is demanding the reception of more refugees through a quota system, and some parties have even criticized it for this during the election campaigns for the European Parliament elections.
