A 17-year-old girl was stabbed in a student residence in Nykøbing, and police have made several arrests.

According to TV2, citing South Sheeland and Lolland-Fallster police, a 17-year-old girl was stabbed in the back during an attack at her college residence in Nyköping, where police were called at 0:46 a.m. Wednesday.

The young victim was airlifted by medical helicopter to the emergency center at the Rigshospitalet National Hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

The case is being investigated as attempted murder, and the police investigation led to the arrest of three youths aged between 17 and 18 overnight and early Wednesday morning.

The detainees are already known to the police, and there is a connection between the parties involved. The police have not yet determined the motive, however, there is no indication that the attack is related to gangs, according to the police.

The detainees were supposed to have been presented at a constitutional hearing in court in Nykøbing this afternoon behind closed doors, and the police do not wish to provide any further information on the case, according to TV2.
