According to the Danish Food Administration on Friday, July 25, 2025, Dagrofa ApS and Salling Group A/S are recalling two types of frozen potatoes, Gestus and Salling, with the information below, because they contain mineral oil (MOAH).
If you have these products, please dispose of them or return them to the store where you purchased them.

Why are the products being recalled?
Due to accidental contamination of the product with mineral oil (MOAH) during production.
MOAH is a group of chemicals. In food, mineral oil contamination can originate from materials such as packaging, lubricants in production plants, or cleaning products. Because these substances are so widespread in the environment, it is impossible to completely avoid food contamination.
Many MOAH compounds are carcinogenic. However, they are not acutely toxic, but they can cause side effects with long-term exposure, so consumers should not worry about consuming a product containing the oil in question within a few meals.
