According to what was announced by Danish Health Minister Magnus Heunicke during a press conference of health authorities on Wednesday evening, the majority of members of the Epidemics Committee in the Danish Parliament agreed to stop working on a number of Corona restrictions as of January 16, based on recommendations from the Epidemics Committee, which consists of a number of experts.

In light of the committee's recommendations, as of Sunday, January 16, the following places will be reopened and operational with the requirement to wear masks or face coverings for indoor spaces:

  • High schools, evening schools and Folkeuniversitet events
  • Outdoor sporting events are permitted provided tickets and seating are obtained.
  • Zoos, aquariums, and mobile amusement parks
  • Museums, art galleries, and activity centers

In addition, the following will be open with the conditions of the Coronapas use requirements in effect, as well as masks or face coverings, in addition to limiting the participant to a maximum of 350 people in indoor spaces:

  • Cinema role
  • Places and theaters
  • Lecture and conference halls (not wedding halls)
The parliamentary parties then succeeded in overcoming the government's desire to follow the committee's recommendations, as it was agreed to raise the participation limit to 1,500 people in areas where the public could be divided into 3 separate areas, each containing 500 people, with the public not being allowed to stand.
  • The social distancing space requirements in places of worship will be cancelled as of January 16th.
