More than half of appointments and operations at hospitals in the Zealand region have been postponed due to extreme pressure.

Due to the increased pressure on hospitals caused by the rising rates of coronavirus infection, it has now become necessary to cancel 50 to 70% of all planned operations indefinitely.
The region is also under severe pressure due to long-standing staff shortages in several areas of the health system.
The schedules and operations are expected to be rescheduled next year, 2022.
