The cinema at the Fields shopping mall was closed following the shooting incident at the mall on July 3, which killed three people, one of whom was a 17-year-old who worked at the mall's cinema.

The cinema is reopening today – for the first time since the shooting – with a reduced program, and is expected to return to normal operations next week, according to a press release from Nordisk Film Biografer.

Although most of the shops in the shopping center reopened a week after the incident on July 11, the cinema remained closed, as the staff needed extra time off and received psychological support, according to the company's manager.

It is worth noting that the suspected perpetrator, a 22-year-old Danish man, was arrested shortly after the shooting and was admitted the following day to the psychiatric ward on charges of murder and attempted murder.
