Aalborg: Thousands of homes wake up to power outages

Thousands of households in Aalborg Øst Gistrup, Aalborg SV and Kongerslev woke up to a power outage on Wednesday, due to the network company receiving reports of a cable and transformer fault, with technical errors, according to electricity provider N1.
The problems first affected customers in the Aalborg-Schweg and Giestrop areas, where the electricity was cut off at 4 a.m., and then southwest of Aalborg and Kongerslev an hour later.
In total, 5200 households were affected by the power outage, and electricity was restored to all homes at approximately 7:30 a.m. today.
N1 does not initially expect today’s high temperatures to have an impact on the electricity grid, as the high temperature may reach a record high in Denmark, with temperatures expected to reach 35-36 degrees Celsius. According to the company, the high temperatures may affect the cables if they continue for two or three weeks.
