Nearly 40,000 customers in Aalborg were surprised this morning by a power outage across the city, and traffic lights also went out.

According to the electricity company N1, two transformer stations in Udalen in Aalborg were disrupted, according to the Nordjyske website.

According to the source, residents of the Kærby area reported hearing a loud bang, after which the electricity went out.

Electricity has now been restored to East Aalborg, but further power outages cannot be ruled out.

Netsleskabet N1, which owns and operates the electricity network in Aalborg, stated that it has not yet found the cause of the power outage.
