Denmark participates in Saudi Arabia meeting on Ukraine, and the Danish Foreign Minister praises Saudi Arabia.

According to the Danish broadcaster DR, more than thirty countries, including Denmark, will participate in a meeting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on the fifth and sixth of August, to discuss opportunities for a peaceful settlement to the war in Ukraine.
Denmark will be represented at the meeting by Barbara Bertelsen, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, and Anders Tang Friberg, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen will not be attending in person, but on Monday he praised the Saudi Arabian hosts, telling the source: “We need a country like Saudi Arabia, which is working for progress in Ukraine.”.
In addition to Denmark, countries such as the United States, Japan, India and Poland will participate, and there is a possibility that China will also participate.
