Burning the Quran: A Danish association will burn the Quran in front of an embassy tomorrow, after burning it today, Monday, in front of the Iranian and Iraqi embassies.

A Danish association burned a copy of the Holy Quran today, Monday, in front of the Iranian and Iraqi embassies, and then announced this evening that it intends to burn the Quran tomorrow in front of another embassy (Denmark 24 is currently withholding information about which embassy).
The association wrote on its Facebook page yesterday, Sunday, that: “After Iran announced that the person or persons from the association will be arrested and tried in Iran, we will, of course, hold a demonstration in front of the Iranian embassy tomorrow, Monday, July 24th, from 10:00 AM to approximately 11:30 AM. After that, we will move to the Iraqi embassy and demonstrate there until 2:00 PM. Of course, these Islamic fanatics should not dictate what the Danes do with a book that belongs to them, not even if it concerns their own heaven.” The association also opened a donation drive to support the Quran-burning demonstrations, including the purchase of new copies to burn. It is worth noting that the association is a Danish volunteer organization licensed since 2021, and one of its main objectives, according to its Facebook page, is “to expel unwanted foreigners from Denmark.”.
The Danish Foreign Ministry commented this evening on the burning of the Quran, stating that
“Denmark condemns the burning of the Quran today by a small minority of individuals. These provocative and shameful acts do not represent the views of the Danish government. We appeal to everyone to de-escalate; violence should never be the answer.”.
“"Denmark condemns today's burning of the Quran carried out by very few individuals. These provocative and shameful acts do not represent the views of the Danish government. Appeal to all to deescalate – violence must never be the response."”
In the same context, and according to local media, Algeria summoned the Danish ambassador and a Swedish diplomat to protest the burning of the Quran in both countries, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
